Of Makeovers and Facelifts....

I'm still job hunting.. That's the update on my life.
Its been about 4 months since I'd resigned from my job back in India. I've now had it up to HERE sitting at home and getting bored. What is it with these HR people. I am extremely dedicated, smart, friendly, team worker & target driven. I AM the best resource they can get. Serious. Anyways... I'm sure its not gonna be long before they come to their senses and hire me.

Besides that I've been having a pretty good time. Went to Melbourne again along with hubby. Its a pretty nice city actually. So is Sydney. Sydney actually, is a beautiful city. Especially the CBD (central business district). I know its got the harbour right besides it and the Opera House which definitely gives it an edge. With all the skyline lit up with major-time brands it is a breathtaking sight esp at night.

And I was wondering... If you had to select a CBD for Delhi I'm sure it has to be Connaught Place. I mean that is the heart of Delhi... THE business center. And especially after Metro was built and the central park was cleaned up (I remember a time when it was a dump of rubbish!!) it looks pretty good.

I think the only difference besides the harbour between Sydney CBD and CP is that well.... the buildings in CP (anyone who's a delhite will know what I'm talking about here). I mean they are soooo DILAPIDATED. I used to work there for some time. All the while I never, ever ever used the lift. You just cannot use the lifts in those buildings. Not if you value your life. I remember once I used the lift in one of the buildings while going to meet a client. There was only me and another colleague of mine in it. Would you believe the lift went up and down the whole building 3 times before it finally opened the doors. Back at the Ground floor!!! We were just so happy to get out of it. Went up the stairs again for the meeting.
I guess you really cant pull down all the buildings and build new ones. But surely there should be something that can be done?? A face lift... makeover.. something.

Talking of a makeover, I really need one. I'm like so bored of my look. Need a change. A trip to the parlour is definitely on agenda next week.

India lost out in the quarterfinals. I was devastated to hear that. I could not follow it on TV coz there's some problem with the cable connection. But I was totally into it on the net. I mean we are the world champs. We were invincible. How could we lose :( I'm still not over my depression yet.

Anyways... that's it for now. Gotta go make dinner. I saw Terminator Salvation some time back. I dint like it. The previous ones were much better. The movie is nothing but action from the word go. I know that's what the terminator series is all about. But I just thought the earlier ones had a much better storyline than the latest one.

c ya.
